Les chats sont partis de la maison.
Le renard n’ose plus traverser la route.
La biche sursaute lorsqu’on l’approche.

Une mystérieuse communauté d’animaux s’affaire à des rituels dans les sous-sols d’une église, à l’abri des humains. Ces animaux ont fait le choix de vivre en autarcie dans cette cave. Ils racontent un à un leur histoire personnelle, alternant entre translation de mon vécu, récit autobiographique narré du point de vue d’un chat, récit documentaire et fiction totale.

The different narratives explore relationships between humans, as well as between humans and animals: Did the cat that lived at my mother’s during my childhood truly like me? Would it have liked me if it understood what I was saying? Do the cats that have left the house think of me from time to time?
